How to Make the Perfect Wedding Planner

I proposed to my wife Jessica seven years ago today by the giant Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center in NYC.  I actually have it

on tape but will spare you.  Digital video cameras were not what they are now.  It’s difficult to even tell it’s us.

I find that just about any train of thought leads me to Bound sooner or later and my nostalgic moment was no different.

It occurred to me that Bound is the perfect wedding planning journal.   Let’s say you just got engaged and your wedding is 8 months away.  Here’s what you do.

Go to boundforanything.com

Select a Vegan Leather journal. (recommended for wedding planning)

Fill with these contents:

  • Start with one lined page on which to write a statement of inspiration.  (suggestion: “Till death or being overwhelmed with the planning do us part”)
  • Add a monthly calendar for 8 months (16 pages)
  • Add a weekly calendar for 8 months (70 pages) I recommend hour-by-hour, especially once you get close to the big day.

    Bound for Matrimony

  • Add a daily log for the week of the wedding (7 pages)
  • Add to-do list pages.  Let’s go with 24.
  • Add a storyboard of your choice for planning the seating arrangement.  I recommend “4×3 8up”.  (2 pages)
  • Add some dot-grid pages.  Perfect for sketching and note taking (15 pages)
  • Add a couple tic-tac-toe pages.  It may come in handy if the cake samples are running late. (5 pages)

Voila!  The perfect wedding planner made just for your big day.

Get started making yours!
